Independent community, not Blizzard
Hyjal is an independently operated, unofficial community service. Hyjal is not World of Warcraft, Blizzard Entertainment, Battle.net, Microsoft, or an official game service. We do not represent those companies, act on their behalf, or claim their endorsement, sponsorship, authorization, or affiliation. References to third-party games identify compatibility and subject matter only. World of Warcraft and related names, characters, assets and trademarks belong to their respective rights holders. A Hyjal account is separate from a Blizzard account; never give us your Blizzard password.
Game client and lawful access
Hyjal does not distribute, sell, host, bundle, or supply the World of Warcraft game client or Blizzard game data. You must obtain the appropriate client directly through Blizzard’s official distribution channels and have any permissions and access that Blizzard requires. We do not provide access to restricted beta builds, a Blizzard license, or permission to bypass a third party’s terms. If you cannot lawfully obtain the required compatible build, do not use the game connection features. Your obligations under Blizzard’s agreements remain separate and unchanged.
Launcher and compatibility
Hyjal preserves your original game installation and does not distribute a replacement World of Warcraft client. The separate Hyjal launcher provides account access and compatibility features. Connection setup may use local network configuration, certificates, a separately prepared application copy, or runtime compatibility changes. Accordingly, this is not a promise that every running client process is unmodified. Review setup prompts and instructions before authorizing changes. Optional add-ons and voice features are separate Hyjal components. You remain responsible for deciding whether those tools are appropriate for your device and permitted under agreements that apply to you.
Accepting these terms
These Terms govern the Hyjal website, launcher, community spaces, support services and game service. By selecting the registration agreement checkbox, you agree to these Terms and the Rules linked with them. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service. Keep a copy for your records. The version and time of your registration agreement are recorded. Material changes will be identified by an updated version and effective date; where required, we will provide notice or request renewed agreement. Changes do not remove rights that the law requires us to respect.
Eligibility and account responsibility
Use the service only if you can enter this agreement under the law where you live. If parental or guardian consent is required, obtain it before registration. Provide accurate registration information, maintain access to your verified email, protect your password and authentication codes, and contact support promptly about unauthorized access. Do not share, sell, rent or transfer account credentials. Any character transfer must use an expressly supported Hyjal feature. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account, subject to applicable law and circumstances beyond your reasonable control.
Rules and fair play
The Rules form part of these Terms. Cheating, unauthorized automation, client hacks, exploits, duplication, real-money trading, account theft, harassment, scams, ban evasion and attacks on our systems are prohibited. Do not help others break these rules or distribute tools intended to do so. Ordinary permitted accessibility tools and approved add-ons are not automatically prohibited; ask support if uncertain. A bug is not permission to gain an advantage. Stop using an exploit and report it privately with enough information for staff to investigate.
Moderation and enforcement
To operate and protect Hyjal, we reserve discretion to investigate activity, remove content, rename characters, reverse transactions, remove illicit items or credits, restrict features, mute, suspend or close accounts and characters. We may act at any time, with or without advance warning or notice, including during an investigation, where permitted by law. Restrictions may be temporary or permanent. We do not promise progressive warnings or a fixed number of chances. Staff may use relevant account, game, transaction and security records in making decisions. This discretion does not override mandatory legal protections.
Reviews and appeals
You may ask support to review an enforcement action at [email protected] or through the ticket system. Provide your account identifier and relevant facts; never send passwords or authentication codes. We may withhold sensitive detection methods, information about other users or details that would undermine security. We do not guarantee a particular result or response time. Repeated abusive, fraudulent or duplicative appeals may be restricted. An appeal does not automatically restore access while it is being reviewed.
Experimental service and availability
Hyjal is experimental and may contain serious bugs, incomplete features, inaccurate displays, incompatible updates and interruptions. We may change rates, balance, features, item availability, supported builds, account limits or service requirements. Maintenance, crashes, rollbacks, wipes, resets and loss of progress can occur. We do not promise continuous availability, permanent storage, character preservation, a minimum service lifetime or compatibility with future software. Keep your own copies of material you need. Do not rely on Hyjal for essential communications or data storage.
Discontinuation
We may pause, replace, restrict or permanently discontinue all or part of Hyjal at any time, with or without advance warning or notice to the extent permitted by law. This may include shutting down the server, website, launcher services or community integrations and closing accounts. Characters, progress and service features may then become unavailable. We will comply with any mandatory obligations concerning notice, refunds, data access or retention that apply; these Terms do not create an exemption from those obligations.
Credits, rewards and virtual items
Hyjal credits, points, virtual currency, items and service upgrades are limited permissions to use features within Hyjal, not cash, deposits, investments or property rights in our infrastructure. They have no guaranteed cash value and cannot be redeemed for money or transferred except through features we expressly provide. Reward eligibility, promotions and prices may change prospectively. Fraudulent referrals, multiple-account abuse and manipulated rewards can be reversed. Current earning methods and purchase availability are shown on the site. If paid transactions are introduced or supported, the checkout terms and mandatory consumer rights also apply; nothing here waives a refund required by law.
Character services and marketplace
Read each service description and confirm the selected character before submitting a transaction. Services may require entering the world, being offline, leaving combat or visiting a mailbox. Delivery may be delayed by maintenance or technical issues. Where a character marketplace is offered, listings may lock gameplay and disclose the listed character’s gear, inventory, progress and other details described by that feature. A completed supported transfer may be irreversible. Do not list stolen accounts or use outside payments. Staff may suspend disputed or suspicious deliveries while investigating.
Community content and permissions
You retain any rights you hold in your original posts, images and other submissions. You give Hyjal a non-exclusive permission to store, reproduce, display, format and distribute that content as reasonably needed to operate, moderate and promote the community features in which you submit it. This does not transfer ownership of your work or give us ownership of Blizzard’s assets. Submit only material you have permission to share. Do not post private personal information, unlawful material, malicious files or infringing content. Removing a post may not immediately remove cached copies or lawful backups.
Support, reports and Discord
Support tickets and bug reports may be reviewed by authorized staff and relayed to private staff channels, including Discord, to coordinate responses. Avoid including passwords, payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive information. Public posts and public community chat may be visible to visitors. Discord and other linked services have their own terms and privacy practices. Connecting an external identity authorizes the disclosed linking and role synchronization features; it does not make those external services part of Hyjal. You can use the available settings to disconnect a linked identity.
Security and operational records
We process account information, verification details, IP and sign-in activity, game records, support messages and transaction history to provide the service, prevent abuse and investigate problems. Access to staff tools is role-restricted. We do not promise anonymity, perfect security or indefinite retention. Do not probe, overload or attempt to access accounts, databases or systems without authorization. Report suspected vulnerabilities privately. Contact support about personal-data requests; applicable law and legitimate security or recordkeeping requirements may affect what we can provide or delete.
Intellectual property and reserved rights
Hyjal reserves rights in its own branding, original website and launcher materials, subject to third-party rights and any applicable open-source licenses. No right to Blizzard intellectual property is granted by these Terms. Third-party names and materials remain the property of their owners. Do not impersonate Hyjal staff or claim official Blizzard status. If you believe content on Hyjal infringes your rights, contact support with a description, location, your contact information and the basis of your claim. We may remove or restrict disputed content while reviewing it.
Third-party links and services
External websites, videos, downloads and integrations are operated by their respective providers. We cannot guarantee their availability, accuracy, safety or continued compatibility. A link does not by itself imply endorsement or a business relationship. Review the provider’s own policies before using its services. Hyjal will not ask for your Blizzard login credentials and is not responsible for managing your official Blizzard account.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hyjal is provided as available and as is, without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or absence of defects. These limitations apply only where lawful. They do not exclude mandatory warranties, statutory consumer protections, liability that cannot be excluded, or remedies that applicable law requires. No informal staff message creates a guarantee of permanent access or preservation of virtual progress.
Limits on liability
To the extent permitted by law, Hyjal and its operators are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost opportunities, lost virtual progress or losses caused by outages, third-party services or unauthorized activity outside our reasonable control. We do not exclude responsibility for fraud, deliberate wrongdoing, gross negligence where it cannot be excluded, death or personal injury where protected, or other liability that the law makes non-excludable. Any limitation must be interpreted consistently with mandatory rights in your jurisdiction; no clause gives us an unlimited right to disregard the law.
Ending your use and surviving provisions
You may stop using Hyjal at any time and contact support about account closure. Uninstalling the launcher does not itself delete your account or all server records. Some records may be retained where necessary for security, dispute handling or legal obligations. Provisions concerning rights ownership, lawful limitations, disputes and outstanding obligations continue as needed after access ends. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent lawful. Failure to enforce a rule once does not waive it for later cases.

Mandatory laws and consumer protections that apply to you remain in force. These Terms do not claim that using an unofficial service is authorized by Blizzard and do not replace Blizzard’s own agreements. No statement on Hyjal should be understood as legal advice about your rights to use third-party software.
